Peter Pottier is an experienced litigator with a wide-ranging practice spanning advertising and promotions matters, commercial disputes, copyright infringement, intellectual property disputes, First Amendment speech, securities class actions, and white collar investigations. He is licensed, and practices actively, in both New York and California and is admitted to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, Northern District of California, and Central District of California.

Pottier represents a broad base of clients, including those in the music and entertainment industries as well as other content and brand owners. He also has significant experience counseling clients in response to inquiries and investigations by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the New York Attorney General’s office.

Pottier holds a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where he was the associate managing editor of the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial, & Commercial Law.

Outside of his commercial litigation practice, Pottier is committed to pro bono work. He has represented asylum seekers, children who have been abused and neglected, and veterans who need support navigating the legal system.
