Ohia Amadi is a gifted litigator with a practice built on complex business litigation and arbitration, advising clients on a wide range of matters across securities, trade secrets, intellectual property, privacy, and employment. He has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving securities claims under the Securities Act, the Securities Exchange Act, and the Investment Advisers Act. Amadi regularly represents clients in the financial services and securities industries in federal and state courts and before arbitration, regulatory, and enforcement forums including the SEC, FINRA, the California Department of Business Oversight, and the California Department of Insurance. Amadi’s comprehensive experience includes advising clients in business disputes involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, civil rights, defamation and First Amendment issues, economic interference, fraud, trade secret misappropriation, trademark and copyright infringement, real estate, and other matters.

Amadi’s client wins have included multiple seven- and eight-figure settlements for plaintiff clients, successfully arguing a mandatory TRO in a trade secret misappropriation case, as well as obtaining a complete anti-SLAPP dismissal with prejudice for clients in a malpractice action.

Amadi graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Yale University, double majoring in mechanical engineering and economics, and holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School. Prior to pursuing a career in law, he was an investment banking analyst at Lehman Brothers, Inc.

When not being a pitbull for his clients, Amadi loves to cook while vibing to a good album. A “country boy” at heart, he enjoys the outdoors and fancies himself an amateur naturalist. Amadi lives with his wife, their two energetic kids, and their terrier mix–who is certain he’s a human.
