Matt Aghaian is an associate at FROST LLP. His practice focuses on complex business litigation including data privacy, internet and emerging technology issues, securities-related matters, and general corporate disputes. Matt approaches litigation with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented mindset—grounded in attention to detail and an understanding of the real-world implications of risk and exposure.

At FROST LLP, Matt has worked on a wide range of high-stakes corporate, entertainment, and commercial matters, including class actions and disputes involving regulatory compliance, shareholder liability, and intellectual property. His previous experience in the investment sector– where he developed a strong foundation in financial markets, securities regulation, and risk analysis—continues to inform his legal practice. Before joining the firm, Matt served as a Judicial Extern for the Orange County Superior Court, gaining firsthand exposure to motion practice and courtroom procedure. He also supported criminal justice reform through pro bono legal clinic efforts, including researching and drafting an amicus curiae brief submitted to the Supreme Court of California that addressed constitutional issues in wrongful conviction cases.

Matt earned his Juris Doctor from the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law, where he served as Symposium Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review. In that role, he organized a symposium examining constitutional questions related to the separation of powers, which featured prominent legal scholars in the field. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from the University of Southern California. He is licensed to practice law in California.

In his free time Matt enjoys being with friends and family, adding to his ever-growing sneaker collection, and spending time with his two beloved dachshunds.
