Shackelford graduated from Harvard Law School, where he served as an article editor for the Harvard International Law Journal and placed as a quarter-finalist in the Ames Moot Court Competition. While pursuing his law degree, he externed at the California Attorney General’s Office and the United States Attorney’s Office in Boston.
