IP ATTORNEY EMILY FULHAM JOINS FROST LLP AS PARTNER

Previously In-House Counsel at NBCUniversal, Fulham Builds Out Firm’s Growing IP Division

LOS ANGELES – April 2, 2025 – Bicoastal litigation firm FROST LLP today announced that Emily Fulham, a seasoned IP lawyer whose background reflects both in-house and private practice experience, has joined its Los Angeles office as Partner. Ms. Fulham’s skills augment the broad capabilities of the firm’s IP division, which has expanded to become a full-service practice that handles clearances and registration, copyright and trademark protection and enforcement, litigation avoidance strategy, and litigation around copyright, trademark, trade secrets, and other IP-related matters.

Ms. Fulham has served as in-house counsel at both NBCUniversal, in the brand and content intellectual property division, and at Getty Images, one of the world’s leading suppliers of stock photos and videos. These roles have informed her ability to advise media, entertainment, and other clients with global portfolios. At NBCUniversal she focused on global television, film, news, sports, and merchandising. She is knowledgeable on trademark, trade dress, copyright, trade secrets, and right of publicity matters.

“Emily is a strategic weapon for any client lucky enough to have her on their side, and accordingly for our firm too,” said Christopher Frost, founding partner at FROST LLP. “Her creative thinking, sage advice, and incredible work ethic combine to make her a valuable counselor in a litigation avoidance context and an equally valuable legal strategist in a heightened litigation context. Having worked with her previously, I know firsthand the tremendous talents she brings to our team.”

In private practice Ms. Fulham emphasizes litigation avoidance, finding creative solutions for clients in the context of risk, and when necessary she pursues research-informed litigation strategy. She applies lessons learned not only from her in-house experience but also from several years in private practice at firms in Los Angeles and Nashville, where she represented entertainment and business clients including production companies, media companies, entrepreneurs, and artists. Originally from New Orleans, Ms. Fulham is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School. Her full bio is HERE.

“I’m passionate about the business of entertainment and throughout my career that has meant a focus on IP–applying a full strategic view to any issue that might confront one of my clients and finding a way to protect them and meet their goals,” said Emily Fulham, partner at FROST LLP. “I’m delighted to return to private practice and to do so at FROST LLP, where I’ve found (and in some cases, reconnected with) a group of savvy colleagues who value strategy, counseling, and a focus on client service as much as I do.”
