FROST FOUNDING PARTNER JOHN D. MAATTA NAMED TO FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES AT UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA COLLEGE OF THE LAW, SAN FRANCISCO

LOS ANGELES – July 16, 2026 – John D. Maatta, a founding partner of FROST LLP, has joined the Foundation Board of Trustees at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. Maatta is a graduate of the College, formerly the UC Hastings College of the Law. His legal education and relationships built at the College have shaped his career, starting with his time as a trial lawyer in San Francisco. His involvement as a founder and an inaugural editor of the College’s noted Comm/Ent journal later led to an in-house legal career in entertainment, with Maatta serving as executive vice president and general counsel at both The CW Television Network and the WB Television Network. He ultimately became co-head of the CW Network.

At FROST LLP, Maatta represents a wide range of clients as a trial lawyer, counselor, and transactional attorney on select entertainment matters for businesses and high-profile entertainers.
